In-Home Euthanasia
Although we all want our cherished companions to live their best lives for as long as possible, there will come a time to say goodbye. The ability to choose when and where that time comes is one of the hardest decisions to make but also one of the greatest gifts we can give to our beloved pets, especially if they are in pain and suffering. You are not alone in making this important decision – our doctors can provide guidance and help you make an informed choice based on your pet’s quality of life.
Ordinarily, you have to bring your pet to a veterinary hospital for euthanasia, which can be an extremely stressful experience for you and your pet. At Feathers and Fur Animal Hospital, we provide a better way for you to spend the final moments with your pet, in the comfort of your own home surrounded by loved ones. We will walk you through every step of the process so that you can focus on what is really important – your pet and the love you share.

Aftercare
We work closely with West Coast Pet Memorial Services to ensure all pets are handled with the care and respect they deserve. We offer several services:
- Private Cremation – Your pet is cremated individually and the ashes are returned to you in the urn of your choice along with a clay footprint.
- Communal Cremation – Your pet is cremated together with other beloved pets but the ashes are not returned to you.
- Other Memorial Options– You can honor your pet’s life and memories with a personalized memorial footprint.
If you are anticipating the loss of a pet, please give us a call and we can help guide you through the process.
