Chinese Medicine

In Chinese Medicine, health is the natural state when everything is in balance based on energetic physiology, maintaining Qi and Blood, balanced with Zang-fu physiology principles. On the other hand, disease is when there is an imbalance in the body. Chinese Medicine is individualized medicine, helping to restore the body to a balanced state by evaluating the patient as a whole. Therefore, when considering a disease process, it is important to not only consider the symptoms but also how a patient’s signalment (breed, age, sex), temperament, environment, and lifestyle may factor in as well.
